Final Farewells
One of the harder parts of leaving a job/country/home is saying goodbye. The last couple of weeks have involved lots of 'lasts'. This was the last recital that Maddie had in piano.
The last playdate with friends (making ice-cream sundaes)
The last service at Danube International Church.
The last dance class with Sandra and Louise
Last sleepover with Paul.(and Connor is out for his last movie with friends).

Cherry Season
We are very fortunate to have 2 cherry trees in our yard and now it's cherry season. Yum!

Birthday Weekend
I had a very special birthday weekend. We stayed the night at the Hilton in the Castle District. Upon checking in, we were told to go to the executive lounge which was a real treat. After unpacking, we headed out to walk around the cobblestone streets loaded with tourists.
There is a labyrinth with a network of cellars to explore. It was a strange arrangement. In the evenings, you can go through with only a lantern, but I wasn't interested in any part of that.
We had dinner at Pampas, an Argentinian steakhouse.
And at breakfast the following morning, I was treated to beautiful gifts, champagne and a leisurely breakfast. It was a superb way to spend a birthday weekend.
