Eid Break

We have had one week of vacation because of Eid.  We started off the week by spending a night at the Hilton Hotel in town.  It was all about having a leisurely breakfast, lounging by the pool, and a late check out.

Madeline and Stuart spent time swimming in the pool and swimming in the sea... there was a dock to swim to.

Next on our 'to do' list was to go to the greenhouses out near the camel race track.  We loaded up on tomato plants, a couple of green peppers and some petunias.  After getting the starters in we, set up a trellis with bamboo.  We've also got sunflowers, peas, swiss chard and ruccola planted in there.

On Friday, we headed out with a group to the Inland Sea.  Due to minor complications we have with our vehicle after these trips, we decided not to do the heavy duning.  Instead the kids hiked up the dune to watch the other cars tackle this steep drop off.
Once we got to our camp spot, we all went for a swim - the waters so warm.

We were there with a large group.

Once the sun went down, we were treated to spectacular moonlight.
